Barbara Borg, M.A., OTR
Assistant Professor

Barb received her undergraduate (OT) degree from Colorado State University and her master's in counseling psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. She has engaged in occupational therapy practice and in individual, couple, family and group counseling, consultation, and education with children and adults of all ages. She has worked primarily in mental health settings, within the home, and also with the "well" population.

Barb has co-authored 3 textbooks in the area of psychosocial understanding/practice. The most recent, published in 2002, is Psychosocial Frames of Reference: Core for Occupation-Based Practice (Third Edition). Barb sits on the Editorial Board of Slack publishers, and also reviews manuscripts for several professional journals. Her special interests include issues around client - centered practice, the use of art in therapy, and supporting quality publication within OT.

Barb is at home in Longmont, Colorado with her high-school aged daughter, and her son who is in graduate school. There's often a shortage of junk food, but never of stimulating conversation!
