Department Rankings
Known nationally and internationally for its excellence, the Occupational Therapy Department is ranked among the top 10 master's programs in the nation by U.S. News and World Report. It is also consistently ranked among the top 10 programs by the Gourman Report and Peterson's Guide. Closer to home, our colleagues at CSU have designated the OT Department as a Program of Research and Scholarly Excellence.
In addition to these departmental honors, Colorado State University has gained national recognition as being:
- Among the top 100 for institutions granting master's degrees to Native Americans, and
- Among the top 100 institutions preparing Hispanic students in professional health professions and related sciences (both from Black Issues in Higher Education, July 2000);
- In the top 50 of the 100 best public universities (Kiplinger's Personal Finance Magazine.)
NOTE: Neither ACOTE nor the American Occupational Therapy Association issue quality rankings for occupational therapy programs.
