Pat Sample, Ph.D., M.Div.
Professor

Pat has a long history of interest in services for students and adults with disabilities, particularly those with traumatic brain injuries, transition planning for students with disabilities, research, program development and evaluation, administration, and grant writing. Prior to coming on to the faculty, Pat was Co-Director of the Center for Community Partnerships located in the Occupational Therapy Department. Her research interests include: Traumatic brain injury in children and adults - access to services and life outcomes; transition to adult life for students with disabilities; and injury prevention and outcomes. Another research interest of Pat's involves people with disabilities in their own research projects, using the participatory action research (PAR) approach.

Pat received her Ph.D. in vocational education with a special needs emphasis. Her primary teaching responsibilities are research methods, program development, and leadership.

When not at work Pat enjoys gardening, reading and watching House Hunters, home improvement shows and British mysteries.
